Vision for Mission

I’ve been commissioned to launch this web site for the Queensland Synod’s Vision For Mission, an exciting research and development project that will foster new missional projects over the next three years. I’ll be starting as Vision for Mission Advocate on March 1.

On February 25 I’ll be meeting with eighteen people who are interested in becoming members of the Vision For Mission Facilitation team. The team of about 7 or 8 people will work with me, the moderator David Pitman, General Secretary Jenny Tymms and Property & Mission officer Gary Adsett, to identify and resource new missional projects. We’ll be using this site as a log for the journey.

My hope is that we’ll be able to post here the stories of missional communities as they happen.

Take a read through the Vision For Mission document approved at the 2005 meeting of the Queensland Synod. At some point we’ll be using this site as a place for discussion on the theology and outworking of the Vision for Mission. Come back again soon!
